About Your Guide: Dave Anderson

I grew up near the Mississippi River in the small town of Kellogg, Minnesota.  I learned to fish for trout at the age of 12 with the simple hook and worm method by my grandfather.  The lure to the streams took hold, and I continued to angle for trout throughout my childhood, eventually graduating to spinners and Rapalas.

In the mid 1990's, I was introduced to fly fishing and was hooked.  I spent countless hours on the stream perfecting my techniques, learning patterns from others, and driving and walking countless hours in search of trout, and in the process, learned how to fish them successfully.  Sharing my success with others and sharing with them the splendor of southeast Minnesota were the reasons I got into guiding in the first place.

My goal is to provide anglers with an enjoyable and successful day on the water.

My fishing travels have taken all over southeast Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Montana, and as far south as Arkansas, as well as to New Zealand.  I have featured in several publications - including Rochester magazine and Southern Minnesota magazine, and I have been published in Outdoor News and Midwest Outdoors magazine with photography published on the Minneapolis Star-Tribune web page.
