All Purpose Nymph Bead Head flies have been popular in Europe for many years and are finally gaining acceptance among anglers in the U.S. The head provides weight and a bit of sparkle. 

Hook: Nymph, size 8 to 16

Thread: Brown

Bead head: Appropriate size gold bead slipped over the hook point and secured behind the hook eye

Tail: Red-brown hackle barbs

Abdomen: Red-brown fur

Rib: Gold wire

Wing: Gray CDC, wrapped

Thorax: Peacock herl  

Tying Comments: Bob imitated Theo's CDC Danger Baby, only he used a bit more cdc in gray instead of the krystal flash or z-lon that is shown in the picture above.
