Materials:

HOOK: big (#2 or #1) with long shank

THREAD: Danville 3/0 or 210 to match bunny fur, or black if you want a contrasting head

WEIGHT: lead or altnernative material wrapped around hook

TAIL: zonker strip

BODY: zonker strip

HEAD: thread

Comments:

NOTES: (1) Unless specifically fishing warm water, I like to make the tail a little shorter than that used on a bunny leech pattern, to cut down on missed "half hits" and the like; (2) on the same note, I like to use a hook with a nice long shank to get the point back a bit; (3) wrap zonker strip up body just like you would chenille or any other body material; I like to tie the strip in so the hair lays down toward the back of the fly; (4) fish this fly for pike, bass and big trout.
