Hook: #11-#17 dry fly.  I used a #16
Thread: Gray, black, brown  8/0
Body: Type 1 cdc feather 
Wings: Elk Hair.  I used Coastal Deer Hair for the gray color.

The fly is very versatile and can be fished dry, damp and wet with great results.
With the use of different colored materials you can imitate a lot of different hatches
from the black caddis to the bwo. Yes...use this fly for mayfly hatches, it works great!
