Pass Lake Streamer

Ingredients:
Hook: #8 Mustad 9671
Thread: Black
Weight: .030 wire wrap – about 6 wraps
Tail: Brown hackle
Body: Medium black chenille
Wing: White calf's tail
Hackle: Brown
Notes: To help keep the wire wrap in place I'll put a spot of glue on it before wrapping the body. Same thing for the calf's tail, which has a tendency to pull out after a couple fish if it's not glued in.
I've had good luck, particularly later in the season, fishing this upstream on a dead drift, with an occasional twitch. I've found it to be very effective for pulling fish out from beneath undercut banks. I like the spot of white, as that helps me keep visual contact with the fly and often allows me to see the take.
