Hook: Size #6 Streamer Hook
 
Medium size conehead
 
Body: Round gold tinsel
 
Tail: Olive Pine Squirrel

Instructions:

 
Step#1             Secured thread to hook
 
Step#2             Secure a length of gold wire
 
Step#3             Wrap body of the fly with the gold tinsel
 
Step#4             Secure the pine squirrel zonker strip with the wire, the tail should be about the length                          of the hook.
 
Step#5             Palmer the pine squirrel behind the conehead.  It takes more wraps of the pine squirrel                          to make the collar than one thinks.  Pack it in tight behind the conehead and tie off the pine                             squirrel.
 
Step#6             Whip finish.  You can also put a drop of superglue to hold the material behind the cone.
 
Step#7              Catch really big brown trout!
